A Parent's Guide to Safety Tech in the 2026 Genesis GV70

What Makes the 2026 Genesis GV70 a Smart Choice for Families

The 2026 Genesis GV70 earned both a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation and a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Those aren't just badges - they represent real-world performance in crash testing and safety evaluations.

The GV70 comes with a full suite of standard and available driver assistance technologies that work together to keep everyone in the vehicle safer.

Forward Collision-Avoidance & Lane Safety Features

One of the first big safety features of the GV70 is Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. This can detect stopped vehicles and stationary objects, then issue an alert or apply the brakes if needed.

Changing lanes is also safer with the available Blind-Spot View Monitor, which displays a live video feed from the side-view camera when you activate your turn signal. Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist adds another layer by alerting you to vehicles approaching in your blind spots - a helpful feature when the kids in the back seat could be dividing your attention.

Rear Seat Protection for Children & Pets

One other standout feature is the available Advanced Rear Occupant Alert. This system uses high-precision radar to detect if a child or pet is still in the back seat and reminds the driver when exiting the vehicle. It's a simple but important safeguard on busy days when your routine gets disrupted.

The 2026 Genesis GV70 also includes Driver Attention Warning, which monitors driving patterns and lets you know when you might need a break. There's even Forward Attention Warning, which tracks your eye direction and prompts you to refocus on the road if needed. For parents managing long drives, these features help maintain alertness throughout the trip.

Staying Alert on the Road with the 2026 Genesis GV70

The 2026 GV70 also has available Highway Driving Assist, which, paired with Hands-On Detection, issues warnings if your hands leave the steering wheel - a useful reminder during longer stretches of highway driving.

The available 12" Head-Up Display projects speed, navigation directions, and safety alerts directly onto the windshield, so you're never taking your eyes too far off the road to check vital information.

A Luxury SUV Built Around Your Family's Safety

Safety features are important, but so does the ownership experience. Genesis includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. These benefits reduce the stress of ownership and keep your family moving without unexpected hassles.

5 Reasons the 2026 Genesis GV80 Is More Than a Pretty Face

Luxury SUVs have become remarkably good at offering enormous screens, enormous wheels, and enough ambient lighting to make the average living room feel under-equipped. The 2026 Genesis GV80 certainly participates, but there is substance behind the spectacle. With 2 Turbocharged engines, available 3-row seating, a standard 27-inch OLED display, and configuratio ns stretching from 2.5T RWD to 3.5T Prestige Black AWD, the GV80 gives drivers across Texas and Oklahoma several distinct versions to explore at Grubbs Family of Dealerships. 1. The Design Changes Considerably as You Move Up the Range The Genesis Crest Grille and Two-Line lighting signature give the GV80 an identity that's difficult to confuse with another luxury SUV. Standard 19-inch alloy wheels on 2.5T models grow to 22-inch designs on upper configurations, but the larger changes happen inside. The 2.5T starts with leatherette seating, while 2.5T Advanced introduces leather upholstery and a power-folding third row. Move to 3.5T Prestige and Nappa leather joins heated and ventilated front and second-row seats. The new 3.5T Prestige Black takes the darker route with Black Nappa leather, exclusive quilting, open-pore Black Ash wood trim, and corresponding dark exterior details. 2. One 27-Inch OLED Display Handles a Lot of Jobs Every 2026 GV80 receives a 27-inch OLED instrument cluster and navigation display, avoiding the appearance of several unrelated screens being glued across the dashboard. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard, while Fingerprint Authentication can start the engine and access stored driver profiles. Mood Curator combines selectable music and ambient lighting settings to alter the cabin atmosphere. Depending on configuration, buyers can also add a Head-Up Display, Bang & Olufsen® Premium Audio, Genesis Digital Key 2, and Surround View Monitor. 3. The V6 Adds 75 HP & Standard AWD The standard 2.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder produces 300 hp and 311 lbs. ft. of torque, already substantial output for the entry powertrain. The available 3.5L Twin-Turbocharged V6 raises those figures to 375 hp and 391 lbs. ft. of torque. Both engines use an 8-speed automatic transmission, but drivetrain availability separates them: 2.5T models can be configured with RWD or AWD, while 3.5T models use AWD. AWD versions also include Terrain Mode. Available Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview uses the front camera to assess the road surface ahead and adjust suspension response before the vehicle reaches it. 4. The Driver-Assistance List Has Real Depth The 2026 GV80 earned a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and comes standard with Highway Driving Assist 2 and Smart Cruise Control 2. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 can detect potential conflicts involving vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, while Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist add support in situations where visibility can become limited. Available Blind-Spot View Monitor takes a more direct approach, displaying a live camera image of the corresponding blind spot when the turn signal is activated. 5. Genesis Extends the Experience Beyond the Driveway Genesis includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for 3 years or 36,000 miles with new vehicles, along with a 5-year/60,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Original owners of new gas-powered Genesis models also receive a 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warr anty. First owners of 2023 and newer Genesis models receive complimentary Genesis Connected Services with no expiration date, including Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Remote Start with Climate Control, and Stolen Vehicle Recovery.
