The 2025 Acura TLX is a compact sedan that backs up its racy appearance with a capable powertrain and highly refined chassis. As you can expect from an Acura, it’s packed with cutting-edge technology and premium comforts. Here’s a quick guide to this exciting automobile!

Powertrain

Promising exceptionally quick acceleration and strong highway performance, a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine serves as the TLX’s standard powerplant. An engaging 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for greater control and driving enjoyment distributes an output of 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. At around six seconds, 0-to-60 times are impressive, plus idle-stop technology delivers a fuel economy of up to 31 MPG highway.

The Type S model is motivated by a 355-hp 3.0L V6 motor that puts out 354 lb-ft of torque. This increase in power is enough to shave about a second off the 0-to-60 time. Type S and A-Spec trims come standard with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. This system uses active torque vectoring to send up to 70% of the engine’s torque output to the rear wheels, and then 100% of that power to a single rear wheel for maximum traction in all conditions.

Chassis and Handling

Along with a rigid yet lightweight body structure, a superbly tuned suspension featuring front double wishbones and a multi-link rear suspension solidifies the TLX’s status as a serious sport sedan. The car has no problem hugging corners tightly while experiencing minimal body roll. The Type S has been further enhanced with high-performance chassis bracing and the Adaptive Damper System, which continuously optimizes handling.

Sizable 13-inch front and rear brakes are standard, ensuring extremely short stopping distances. Exclusive to the Type S is an especially robust Brembo braking system, with larger 14.3-inch front brakes and 4-piston front calipers.

Passenger Cabin and Amenities

The TLX’s ultra-modern interior boasts a stylish, sophisticated design and numerous creature comforts. There’s also generous seating for five people, including 42.5 inches of front legroom. Coming with perforated Milano leather upholstery and 12-way power adjustability and heating for the front seats, base Technology models are truly luxurious. The other trims make the ride even more inviting during the summer by adding ventilated front seats.

A 12.3-inch infotainment display can be found in every TLX, letting users take advantage of convenient and entertaining features like Siri Eyes Free, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth technology. The A-Spec and Type S get a 17-speaker ELS Studio 3D audio system that sports ceiling-mounted Highline speakers that result in unbelievable surround sound.

Acura’s TLX is sure to provide thrills while pampering you and your passengers with a host of luxuries. Take a trip to Grubbs Acura of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK or Grubbs Acura in Grapevine, TX and discover it for yourself!
